ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND

Arts Council England is delighted to be working in partnership with Dune Music and Serious on Passage of Music to commemorate the Bicentenary of the Abolition of Slave Trade Act 1807.

Championing cultural diversity is one of the Arts Council’s core ambitions: we want to encourage an environment where the arts reflect the full range of contemporary society and where everyone has access to excellent arts activity. Passage of Music is helping to do just this.

Such an inspirational programme showcases the contribution of culturally diverse artists to contemporary culture. It explores new areas of artistic experimentation and development, to reflect the exceptional wealth of talent and innovation in England today.
