GOSPEL GRAND SUMMIT
GOSPEL DIASPORA / BRIDGING THE GAP

Wednesday 24 October to Sunday 28 October
Ocean

Now in its fourth year, the Gospel Grand Summit comes to Hackney, with a range of events at Ocean and the Hackney Empire. For most of the second half of October, both venues will be filled with gospel music, including a run of The Gospel According to Broadway and one special performance of the musical Luv Esther.

For the last five days, Gospel Grand Summit goes into overdrive! The Summit brings together thousands of people who love and live gospel music for conferences, seminars, workshops and concerts.

You need to look at the website gospelgrandsummit.com to understand the sheer scale of this event and to see the delegate rates, but three events in particular reach out to Passage of Music:

Thursday 25 October is Gospel Music Heritage Night, looking at the very roots of British gospel, featuring the Schools Gospel Summit, and the first inductees to the UK Gospel Hall of Fame.

Saturday 27 October is the busiest day of all, with panel discussions, workshops and showcases through the day, and a chance to join the Gospel Summit Workshop Choir, and to perform in the SummitUP Gospel Concert.

Sunday 28 October is the climactic closing concert – a special appearance by the incomparable gospel legend Shirley Caesar with her band and singers.

The Gospel Grand Summit is organised anually by GreenTree – a development agency for UK Gospel – with the united efforts of the gospel music community.
