This exhibition, which has been running since May, tells the story of the pressures and events, both at home and abroad which influenced Parliament and led to the passing of the Act to abolish Britain’s slave trade in 1807. Anti-Slavery International have the final section of the exhibition, telling the continuing story of slavery and human trafficking.
This event runs until Sunday 23 September.
Opening times: Monday to Saturday 10am – 5.45pm (last entry 5pm). Also Sunday 16 and 23 September.
